Functional Description
· Interface board is used as lGCT pulse controller. INT controls firing pattern for standard 12 inverter lGCTs.
One INT board controls the firing of one power stage (12 IGCTs).
· INT board is an interface between AMC board and all other printed circuit boards.
· INT board includes fast HW protections like overcurrent or overvoltage detection (from CVMl) or lGCT fault
detection (from GUSP or FSCD).
· In case of a serious fault which could damage the ACS 6000, INT trips immediately the MCB among the
other protection functions.
· In addition to standard connections 1st INU has a fiber optic interface with DlU/VLU/RBU/BCU (firing
signals to lGCTs & feedback from VLSCD boards), with EAF board for diode supervision in LSU if diode
rectifier is used and one additional output to trip the MCB directly.
· 3 MVA & 5 MVA INU is using VLSCD boards instead of FSCD boards.
